California, that is sun, energy, ideas, optimism, and that’s exactly what we were trying to put in our California. We hope you find all of it in there once you try it. Originally, it is based on the British Pale Ale, but the American version is zestier and foamier. We also added something Czech, so it is a US/CZ version.

Clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is papaya, forest, not too intense, light fruits, raspberries. Very nice and complex. Taste is subtle bitterness and fresh sourness. However the body is quite thin and it is actually watery. Overall still very good.

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Golden color with white head. Aroma is jammy apricot, really nice hopping. Taste is again jammy fruits, not the slightest error to detect (depending on how much you’re used to Czech butter beers) slightly oily mouthfeel. An extremely nice APA!

From tap at Zelena Kocka, Brno. Clear yellow golden color with white to off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, light yeasty too, caramel, floral, pefume, light citrus and piney notes. Sweet and bitter taste, pine and citrus are more intense in taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Orange-golden, moderately hazy body, with a big, frothy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, grass, some pine, some herbs, orange, some biscuit.
Taste follows this, with a bit less grass notes.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, a bit dry, zesty, piney, grassy, a bit dry.
Nice one. Crisp and pleasantly dry. Maybe a bit too much grass notes for me. Overall refreshing, but not my favourite Pale Ale from this brewery.

0,75l bottle at home shared by me courtesy of mmahut, big thanks. BB 15.11.2015. light yellow light hazy color, small white head. smells citric, grass, herbs, lemon grass. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, lemon grass, grass, grapefruity. finishes with light bitterness and lemon grass and citric notes. had this at the same time as the summer ale and enjoyed the summer ale a bit more, overall both not too different.

At Slunce ve Skle festival in Plzen-CZ, on tap. Pours yellow semi-clear color, tick white foam. Nose: citric balanced aroma, malty, straw background. Quite nice. Mouth: fizzy start, easy drinking, grapefruit finish. Clean and tasty.

From tap at Prvni Pivni Tramway, Prague, 30.09.15. Almost clear golden, persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of American hops, citrus and lemon and lime marmalade. Crisp and refreshing!
