California, that is sun, energy, ideas, optimism, and that’s exactly what we were trying to put in our California. We hope you find all of it in there once you try it. Originally, it is based on the British Pale Ale, but the American version is zestier and foamier. We also added something Czech, so it is a US/CZ version.

Sample @ 6de Gents Bierfestival 2015. Dorée, col fin blanc. Bière restant dans la base de l’Apollo Galaxy avec un houblonné gardant un caractère houblonné C laissant de belles notes d’agrumes. Le tout reste tout de même fort orienté vers une base tchèque surtout au niveau de la note de grains. Léger, facile et en faisant abstraction que l’on n’est pas face à une APA américaine, cela se laisse boire.

(Thx! for sharing) Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Gents Bierfestival 2015. Hazy golden, solid white head. Nose is mellow floral, mint, grass, summer field, hay bitter,… Taste is oddly sweet, white sugar, candy, dough, light grass, touch floral,… Body is easy dough. Not bad but too sweet for what it should be. Nice but expressive enough for me.

Yellow orange, hazy beer under a small whitish head. Spicy hops, dry, garden weeds. Bitter, rather indifferent bitterness, not really special. Dry, light to medium bodied. Not that special - I was rather disappointed.

On tap at Ochutnavkova pivnice, Brno, CZ. Hazy pale golden with small white head. Faint hops aroma, some more malt, maybe, but not enough. Light bitter kick, some hops finally develop in the taste. Malty sweetness is hidden in the background. Hoppy pale ale, more balance would be in order. Medium to high carbonation, thin to medium body. Ok.

Clear gold orange beer, creamy white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, citrus, pineapple, passion fruit, sweet touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, pretty bitter, grapefruit, more citrus, very nice. Aftertaste: fruity, nice bitterness, grapefruit, citrus, little sourish. Lovely refreshing ale.

33cl bottle at Bella Vida café, Prague. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, tropical fruits, pale malt and hints of yeast. Moderate sweet with moderate flavour intensity and medium bitterness.
