Our first lager! Super crisp, clean and drinkable with a noticeable hop bitterness and aroma from big whirlpool additions of Saaz and Blanc.

Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Green tinged, pale gold. Lightly hazy. Thick, glossy topped, bright white head. Looks good. Nose has pilsner malt. Spun sugar. Leafy, grapey hop. Lemon juice. The oat addition definitely comes through, too. Taste is malty, oaty sweet, with plenty of leafy, herbaceous bitterness. Twang of lemon. Light to medium body. A little oily. Fine carbonation. Bitterness rises and lingers on the finish. Not sure oats and twangy hops mix too well, but this is a nicely drinkable, hop forward pils.

Can split at CBC Holborn, thanks to the Wingmane, 29/08/18. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malts, melon, grass, grains, lemon rind. Taste comprises toasted grains, orange zest, light floral whisper, breads, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced hoppy climax. Decent.

Keg at Deya Taproom. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is grassy, lemon, pale malts. Taste of pale malts, light citrus, lemon, grassy, crisp, bitter finish, moreso than is usual for Deya. Light-medium bodied, soft carbonation. Decent first effort at a lager, enjoyed this.
