Sold in the US as Oktober Fest-Märzen. This is the filtered version of Ayinger Kirtabier.
Ayinger Festmärzen has a deep golden colour tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Pours a darkish gold w/ medium head. From Tap in NYC - and it was fantastic. Lots of complex flavors plus malts, really a very very interesting marzen. Ayinger just keeps making great beers.

Bottle. Really nice amber color. Smells of malt with just a tinge of hops. Really great flavor. Another great beer by Ayinger!

Bottle at Hopa. Pours an opaque, orangeish golden with a two-finger wide white head. Nose is rich, bready malts, hay and honey with a hint of spice. Taste is sweet malty: there's bread and hay, layered and rich. Closes with a sweet finish, has a medium body that's pretty rich for the ABV and an average carbonation. Tasty.

Bright amber with a thin head. Malt-accented aroma has a slight biscuity note to it. On the palate, it's semi-sweet, with a bit of a bready accent, moderate bitterness, and a touch of caramelly malt in the finish.

slightly hazy dark golden pour with a nice white head. Big aroma of bready/biscuity malt, and some nice subtle hops. The flavour is so smooth, and soft, some wicked malt flavours, lots of breadiness, and some great roasted crust. A tinge of apple actually in the finish along with some more sweet malt. What a great example of this style, absolutely spot on!

Bottle from LCB, consumed 2 weeks after BBE. Clear dark gold with fine white head. Aroma and taste of malt, brown bread, floral hops and honey - nice intensity to it. Medium bodied, a little sticky in the mouthfeel but at the same time is easy to drink. Good for the style.
