April 2019: 500 ml can, as Nokian Panimo Keisari APA American Pale Ale. ABV 4.2%, EBU 55. Malts are pilsener, pale and crystal. Hops are Tomahawk, Tradition and Cascade. Orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of fruity and herbal hops. Light bodied. The flavour is medium dry, with distinct piney, grapefruity and herbal hops.

Can from Hermod, European Local Swap. Many thanks! Light hazy orange amber colour, white foam. Nose of caramel, grapefruit, tropical fruit. Fruity and light sweet with bitter finish. Good and enjoyable APA.

Can. Amber color. mango and some floral hops in the aroma. Floral hopbitter flavor with notes of metal, peach, orange and mango. Some vegetable notes in the aftertaste.

RBbacklog, thanks jappp. Grapefruit zest, grains, caramel, cardboard. Light sweetness, tart and dusty medium bitterness. Small, pearly carbonation on a light body. Not bad, but a bit flat.

Tap at Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki. Dark gold/amber, mostly clear. A fair bit of white head on top. Scent of lemon drops and ammonia. Sourish taste which works well enough in its own way but doesn’t come near the APA style for me. Short to medium finish. Decent carbonation. More sour lemon drops on the aftertaste. Problems abound but it is drinkable and quite interesting.

Kuparinkeltainen hieman samea olut paksuhkolla pitsiä jättävällä valkosella kuohkealla vaahdolla. Tuoksu yllättävänkin amerikkalaisvaikutteinen, kukkainen, ruohoinen, havuinen ja arominen sekä hieman saippuainen. Myös makua on saatu kivasti prosentteihin nähden. Maltaisuutta vain aavistus, sitruksisuutta enemmän. Aika kevyt suutuntuma ja hiilihappoa juuri sopivasti. Jälkimaku katkeran greippinen. Ei tämä yllättäen kalpene hirveästi esimerkiksi Mikkellerin Sort Gulille ja iski todella puskista. Kesää odotellessa.
