After the never ending battle between the hop heads and sour lovers we decided to appease the two. Using Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand and Citra from the Pacific North West this mixed fermentation brew is juicy, sour and extremely refreshing. Sour & hops in perfect, thirst quenching, melody!

Cloudy, golden color and a nice white head. Nose is fruity, decent hoppy. Tart, lots of citric flavors, faint piny and a short but refreshing finish.

Can at the boathouse, 5/5/23. Mostly clear, light brass. Flimsy, fizzy, white head. Nose is pretty straightforward kettle souring showing strong lactic acidity, lots of lemon with cracker and biscuit behind it and a healthy dose of hops. White wine, light pine, strawberry and apricot. Reasonably malty and good attenuation. Apricot, orange, marmalade, white wine, big lactic acidity and moderate bitterness. Cracker, biscuit, bread. A straightforward, albeit clean and well-executed kettle sour.

Can from Cikoko: pours golden haze with white head. Aroma is citrus and a hint of kettle funk. Taste is typical sour hoppy ale citrus. Low sweetness. Fine.

Pint can from Festival Northland, 7/19/21. Not really sure where to put this. Label says Mash Up, not Jam Up. But this has Vic Secret, Citra, and Mosaic, which matches Jam Up. Not sure. Anyway... Hazy orange, large head, poor retention. Aroma of grapefruit and dank. Taste is dank, grapefruit, lemon. Mild sourness. This is bipolar. But not bad.

The aromas are a basic mild blend of tart fruits. Flavors are like Nose, Mainly tart with fruity notes and a little hop bitterness in the background. Slightly watery body with good carbonation and OK finish. Good enough sour but nothing special to me.
