Brewed since 1994, our Black Chocolate Stout has itself become a modern classic, heralded the world over. It achieves its dark chocolate aroma and flavor through the artful blending of six malts and months of aging. Properly kept, it will improve in the bottle for many years.

Botella 33 cl tomada en el momento en el kraken 24..10..2015 (r3279). Lote ilegible en Botella hasta 11..2017. Color negro intenso con poca espuma beige oscura. Aromas y sabores maltosos tostados de cuerpo ligero fácil de beber con toques finales de cacaos y algo de lactosas, junto con ligera acidez y frutos silvestres. Bastante buena. Para repetir sin duda.

Pitch black, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Bitter flavour, liquorice root, soy sauce. Light bitter finish, chocolate, coffee, caramel.

Bottle on board Fridtjofen in Haugesund with TO, SK and SGP. Very dark brown. Pale beige, diminishing head. Wonderful aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and pine needle. Similar taste, with pine bitterness in aftertaste. Well balanced with good drinkability. Round and oily mouthfeel.

Negra, un dedo de espuma ocre que desaparece pronto. Potente aroma ahumado, y licor, con notas de chicolate y café. En boca textura aceitosa y cuerpo medio con baja carbonatación. Tono licórico general, inicialmente agrio para acabar con un postgusto clarísimo de chocolate negro duradero y amargo. Y de tabaco. Diferente. Compleja. bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopur. black color. very small coffee colored head. smells milky, malty roasty, spices, milk chocolate, alcohol. full body, medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes malty roasty, bitter chocolate, rather sweet, molasses, noticeable alcohol, light coffee. finishes malty sweet and alcoholic. quite nice, smell actually rather limited for the ABV.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is light roasted malts, slight hint of chocolate. Taste is smooth & a touch thinner than expected. Some coffee. Very light chocolate, very light roasted malts. A bit so so.

Pitch black body, with a small, creamy, coffee colored head.
Rich aroma of melting dark chocolate, liquorice, coffee, cocoa, toffee, slight ash.
Delicious taste of coffee, very smooth chocolate, cocoa powder, some ash, liquorice, dark fruits.
Full, creamy, velvety mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes smooth, roasty, dry, a bit alcohol warming, with coffee, cocoa, slight ash.
Wow, very tasty! Warm, smooth and complex, with a well hidden alcohol. Really a comfortable sipper, that isn’t as massive as other Imperial Stouts, but wonderfully balanced instead.
