355ml bottle. Pours black in colour with a light brown foam head. Aroma is roast malty, molasses, milk chocolate, coffee. Taste is smokey roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee, with some woody earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

bottle from Bièrerie Illkirch-Graffenstaden. Deep black with a creamy beige head and an alluring aroma of chocolate. Full-bodied yet the alcohol is well hidden. Chocolatey with a shy touch of coffee and caramel, delicious dark chocolate flavours up front. Delicious and smooth.

Draught @ Waterfront Ale House. Inky dark brown with small tan creamy head, faint caramel aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet mocha taste laced with alcohol, full body, longish mocha finish. Very fulfilling brew.
