9.6 ounce nitro can. Opaque brown color. Finger-high creamy tan head. Sweet chocolate aroma hints at graham cracker and vanilla. Bittersweet chocolate flavor upfront. Some booziness as well. Sweet and sticky. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. Graham cracker and vanilla are subdued on palate. Quite tasty nonetheless.

Strong graham cracker, dark chocolate nose. Black, medium creamy tan head. Vanilla, cocoa. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Is there a better brewery than Southern Tier for brewing pastry stouts? Fight me.

Pretty good beer. Can taste the chocolate and Graham and it's not overly sweet thank goodness. The Nitro thing I'm not so sure of would it have been better with just lower carbonation? Still a pretty good beer.

Draft. A- Chocolate, mild vanilla. A- Black color, black liquid, beige head. T- Chocolate, mild oak, vanilla. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Pretty tasty but White Elm still wins for best Smores beer. Loads of rich milk chocolate and vanilla/marshmallow but there was little detecable graham cracker. With a bit more of that this would be stellar.

$4.99 can from WM. Pours creamy black with a nitro head. Aroma is chocolate, marshmallow, cream, vanilla, graham cracker. Unfortunately, it has a light cloyingly sweet undertone that many of the ST stouts have; but it still smells nice. Flavor is graham cracker, that sweet chocolate I mentioned above, vanilla, caramel, marshmallow. Overly sweet, which I was somewhat expecting. Nice flavor, though... glad it came in a less than a 10 oz can.

9.6 ounce can into snifter, canned on 4/11/2019. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger cascading creamy/dense light khaki head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick creamy lacing clings around the glass. Amazing appearance. Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, graham cracker, fudge, brownie/cake batter, biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Amazing complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, flavorings, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, graham cracker, fudge, brownie/cake batter, biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy hops; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, graham cracker, fudge, brownie/cake batter, biscuit, dark/brown bread, light smoke/char/dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Insane complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, flavorings, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a solid roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying sweetness after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Light carbonation and full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety mouthfeel that is perfect. Slight slickness, sticky hops, and chalky roast. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%. Overall this is a mind blowing flavored imperial dessert stout. All around insane complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, flavorings, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; insanely smooth, soft, and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Perfectly balanced super rich malts, lactose, and flavorings; with just enough earthy hops to balance sweetness. A highly amazing offering, and world class style example. This is their best dessert stout to date, tastes exactly like s'mores. They could not have done it any better than this. Smaller format size from the nitro works perfectly for it, even if it is not overly sweet.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a pitch black with a full 3 fingers of beige creamy foam. Aromas of pumpkin bread, graham flour, cacao and coffee. As it warms the graham becomes quite pronounced. Light, airy and creamy on the palate with chocolate, coffee roasted malt and graham and vanilla. Sweet but not as bad as a lot of pastry stouts these days. A bit thin, but flavors are there. Lingering coffee bitterness on the finish.
