12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. The first pumpkin spice beer of the year! The malicious and hateful summer will soon be mercifully past, leading to the bliss that is winter. Hazy orange-brown pour with no head. Fruity apple-cider like aroma with heavy nutmeg notes as well as hints of some other spices. A trt and fruity taste mild showing pumpkin and then the spices. All of the spices are noticeable in the taste. I like the spice profile, but the beer seems to be tart in a way that it shouldn’t.

Possibly an old bottle. Pours with a fizzy-off-white head that goes away completely in about 30 seconds. Hazy amber bodey with some particles floating around. Pumpkin, cinnamon, clovee, nutmeg, and even mint in the potent aroma. Pretty bitter and even sour spicey taste. Fizzy and dry mouthfeel.

Aroma is yeasty and dominated strongly by nutmeg Cloudy orange color, no head. A little phenolic which works with the flavor of pumpkin on the palate. The healthy amount of nutmeg is very nice. Very tastefully done and unique.

It says itβs the original pumpkin ale and I donβt doubt it. Clear, light orange colored iced tea. Aroma has pumpkin spices or something in there. Yeasty pumpkin olfactory character. Spicy overall smell. Decent carbonation. Taste lacks any bitter impact. There is however a veggie attribute. Finish is not bad except for that processed veggie linger.

Bottle. Clear golden amber coloration with a half inch head that is tight. Aromas are of pumpkins and spicing that goes along with the recipie. Flavor is a bit watery up front before the spicing takes over. The aftertaste is really good, but getting to that point leaves you with a few lulls where not much is happening. At first there is not much flavor, then there is an almost peppery burst of spice and light malt that then fizzles. After a little bit, a lovely pumpkin pie spicing comes on, but it seems to diminish as Iβm making my way through the glass. Canβt really tell if there is in fact much pumpking in there.

Poures a hazy orange with a small, off white, fizzy head. Aroma of spices, cinnamon, and light pumpkin. Mouth is thin/watery and carbonted. Flavor is of cinnamon and spices like clove and pumpkin. Finish is slightly bitter. Itβs alright, but I was hoping for more pumpkin.

Bottle: Light, copper color. Very transparent with a decent off-white head. Aroma is spicey, lots of clove. Taste is a sweet pumpkin taste with a finish of spices. Clove, cinnamon, ginger, and brown sugar are clearly present. A bit like drinking potpurri.
