bottle - Pours dark amber with a moderate head. It has a pronounced spice aroma. The flavor has the pumpkin notes as expected, along with lots of spices. This is a really spicey beer. Itβs good that way though. Itβs a little thin, maybe slightly out of balance, but still good.

Light amber ale with a slight haze; slight clove and nutmeg aroma; thin white head.Slight pumpkin with clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon flavor that lingers in your mouth. I like pumkin pie and I like this for a Thanksgiving or Christmas ale!

Pour is a clear orange with a white head. Aroma is the best part of the brew. Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor is pretty weak and you hardly get any pumpkin. Very bland and not a good example of the style.

A actual pumkin ale that smells and tastes just like pumpkin ale. Full of many spice tastes, which might be the only downside to this drink.

Odd aroma of burning rubber and dust, some pumpkin pie spiciness as well. Light amber color. Flavor is heavy nutmeg with light cinnamon. Good palate with a light, spicy aftertaste.

Most pumpkin beers have been a disappointment to me (with the exception of the marvelous version by John Harvard ) and this one was par for the course. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a mahogany color with only a trace of a white head. The aroma was sweet and spicy with the cinnamon coming through most. The flavor was bland with no noticeable pumpkin and only a bit of spice to give it any body at all. I can not say that I would seek this one out again.

Hazy orange-amber in color, small head. Looks nice. Smells like fresh pumpkin pie- and I happen to love pumpkin pie. Lots of spices in there. A nice, but a bit plain flavor. The taste is much weaker than the scent.

Orange/amber colour with a fairly thin white head. Smells of pumpkin (duh!), malt, spices and even a bit of sugar are clearly evident in the aroma. Light-bodied; Very subtle tastes of pumpkin & malt are basicaly the only flavours that come across in the taste. Some metallic twang is noticeable in the middle of the taste. Aftertaste is almost nothing, but there is some residual bitterness from the pumpkin spice and from the malt. Overall, not a good beer for the style or in general. If you are looking for Pumpkin, take a drive to Post Road and stay away from Buffalo Bill! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia and sampled it on 12-September-2003.

The strong aroma of pumpkin and ginger was really promising on this one, but the flavor really didn''t deliver. With a little more pumkpin flavor and a little less carbonation I think it would have been a "must-buy" every year around Halloween. As it stands though it was like a lot of fruit beers I have tried where the bark was better than the bite. I am going to try to hunt down a Pumpkin Stout!
