The beer was bitter and fizzy. Its pumpkin flavor was off-putting, and by that, I mean mildly nauseating. The beer looks bad. It looks fizzy, like a bad macro. Thereβs nearly zero head. The smell was by far the best part for me. It smells of pumpkin and nutmeg and whatever other spices are in pumpkin pie. The nose promises a piece of pumpkin pie wonderfully distilled into a beer. The flavor kicked that notion in the teeth. It definitely tastes like pumpkin and pie spice but in the worst way I can imagine. Much too sweet but also bitter and watery. The pumpkin flavor is off, very off. Itβs a bit like they added a pumpkin pie flavored sucker to a bottle of bad beer. Where it smelled fresh and pumpkiny, it tastes artificial and sugary. Feel is watery and fizzy.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a small white. Light cornish and vague herbal touch with a light bitterness coming through. Fruity and light vegetable like toward heinz ketchup. Bitter and slight malty note.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours an almost clear amber golden with an off-white head. Spicy pumpkin aroma, perhaps with a whiff of cinnamon. Medium body, dry pumpkin notes and spices. The finish is dry. Quite drinkable. 060709

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a fast disappearing orangey head. The aroma has notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, and caramel malts, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bottle from Jose Pistolas, Philadelphia 17-11-08 Pours a hazy orange amber with no head and no apparent carbonation. The pumpkin is a little syrupy sweet, its good but possible a bit contrived there are spices aplenty, a real spicy nose and a real autumnal feel to it, its fine but just too, too spicy. Pours clear copper with gold edges and thin off white head. Pretty full aroma of cinnamon and spices, pumpernickel, faint ginger bread, some pumpkin and mellow sweet dark fruitiness. The carbonation creates and initial punch of harshness that quickly rolls into pumpkin, cinnamon and all spice. By midway smooth mild pumpkin and maltiness give way to another wave of wintery spices and ginger bread. A little out of the can pumpkin feel and a bit heavy on the spices for my taste.

bottle pours golden/copper with a thick white head. Aroma of light spices, cinnamon, aroma reminded more of a mix between orange/pumpkin. Taste, malty, sweet. Maybe too sweet for a pumpkin ale. Very weak taste of pumpkin. As with the Buffalo Bill’s Orange Blossom, you get this mix hops/yeast that gives you the impression of drinking a soapy soda. I am still wondering where the pumpkin and the spices went? Just too weak, missing a good kick.
