Wonderful little beer, surprising in its depth despite the gentle ABV and medium-light feel. Caramel, hazelnut, almond, toasted pumpernickel, and a little bit of apple all sit atop a gentle floral hop base. Finishes easy, disappears quickly, as does the second one. Very nice.

Can from vintage estate. Actually, I'm impressed with this stuff. Its bubbly dark and friendly with just a little malt. Very enjoyable. Perfect creamy cutting CO2! A great turn away from those stupid ass straight up nasty rude IPA. Yes, this is yummy, its a good example of what a decent euro beer should be like. It goes down so yummy, so easy. My only regret is that I didn't buy a case of this stuff! Just a tad of damp old burnt campfire wood effects on the finish. Good job rhiney! Impressive. Seriously, I can drink a sixer of these and never be bored.

Shaker pint draft at Rhinegeist Brewery in Cincinnati, Ohio. The pour is a slight hazed brown copper golden with a smallish white head. The aroma is nutty, softly biscuit and sweet malt. The taste is the nut soft malt and a hint of roast which woke up the finish nicely. The palate is light bodied with soft carbonation and the sweet malt finish. Clean easy drinking mild. Well done, some apple shows as it warms.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Clear copper-brown color with a medium thin creamy white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
