Beer #11 (of 19) of my 9000th Beer Celebration [9 beers on both sides of #9000th itself] Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, relatively fast-dying off-white head that fades pretty quickly and leaves a thin layer on top. Aroma of alcohol, roasted malts, molasses, caramelised sugars and a ton of pitted fruits and a light dose of yeast with some breads and a bigger hit of chocolate and a super small amount of mint here as well. Full-bodied; Rich chocolate and pitted fruit sweetness hits hard up front with a lot of bourbon and dry, oaky notes, with some small mint notes and a touch of warmth from the alcohol and richness from all the malt that's here. Aftertaste shows the alcohol, rich malts, tons of sweetness from the pitted fruits and caramel and a good dose of mint and chocolate that are a nice additive here that are subtle enough to enjoy but rich enough to taste above the rest of the flavours. Overall, a nice and complex, imperial stout with a lot of robust malts, a bunch of sugars and the additional flavours that keep this complex and interesting - a nice variant of this beer and great to try after it's done it's time mellowing out. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from GlenRo Spirit Shoppe in Monroe, Connecticut on 10-March-2018 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington for Beer #11 (of 19) of my 9000th beer celebration [9 beers on both sides of #9000th itself].

Backlog. Pours black and smells of mint, chocolate, roast malt, and coffee. The flavor is on the sweet side with mint, chocolate, roast malt, and a little bourbon. Full bodied, it works well. The mint is certainly a better addition than I thought it would be.

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of mint and chocolate with dark grains and a bit of roast underlying. Flavor has bitter chocolate and dark grains with a light mint and a bit of roast backing.

Dark chocolate truffle, oreos, light mint on the edges aroma. Black, thin tan head. Chocolate syrup, mint. Medium body, easy carbonation. This really good. No bourbon or coffee that I can tell, but that's ok with me.

Bottle from Premier Gourmet. Dark brown. Choc, roasted malts, bit of coffee, very sweet. Bourbon, bit of mint. Quite cloying. Not nearly as good as the base beer. A shame really.

Draft sample at Dominion Wine & Beer, thanks Sam! Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of mint, dark chocolate. Tastes of mint, dark chocolate, subtle whiskey. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Mint is well balanced thankfully.
