0.473 l can from 'Speciaalbierpakket.nl', canned in September 2019. Hazy, golden amber with a thin, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity and slightly floral aroma of orange, mango and traces of pine. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently fruity and moderately juicy taste of orange, mango and traces of pine, followed by a short, minimally bitter, slightly grassy-resiny finish with a soft hop burn. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Pale Ale, unfortunately way too old and one of the reasons why I rarely purchase hoppy beers from overseas.

Intended as a hybrid between East and West Coast IPA and hopped with New World classics Citra, Centennial, Simcoe, Warrior and Columbus, this beer is described by the brewery as reminiscent of “clementine, blackberry and lightning”… Thanks to tderoeck for sharing the can at Bar Beenhouwer in Ghent. Mousy, egg-white, irregularly shaped, open head, cloudy to eventually milky yolk-yellow robe with ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of ripe mango, yellow kiwi juice, pomelo, green onions, passionfruit, halfripe pear, dough. Fruity, sweet and lightly sourish onset, very mango-like with side notes of lychee, carambola and maracuja, tropical, medium carbonated, soft and somewhat creamy body with powdery yeast effects; ‘green’ but still tropical, sultry, rich aromatic hoppiness retronasally, mango, guava, kiwi berries, pineapple, juicy with a dash of finishing hop bitterness. This is a New England style IPA like the whole western world is producing them these days – one better than the other – but in no way bears this beer any resemblance with either classic West Coast or East Coast IPA… As such, decent and enjoyable enough, though.

Thanks willisread for the can! Poured into a snifter showing hazy orange with sparse white foam. The nose shows mango and pineapple. The palate is moderately carbonated and medium bodied. Light notes of mango with a mild bitterness that goes on a little bit too long. Still a solid pale ale.

Can from the brewery. Pours a hazy, glowing straw color with 2 fingers of foam Big tropical fruit nose with guava, pineapple, papaya and orange dominating. More tropical bomb on the palate too. Creamy with a very juicy character. So crushable. Noice!

Delicious pale, massively hoppy without any IPA vitriol, herbaceous and piney with a grapefruit undertone. Malts give a solid toasted biscuit backbone, and a citric-berry finish slides into a mildly bitter fade. Pours like a Bearded Iris beer, orange-gold and murky as hell. Nose is cat pee and citrus with a yeasty tang. Solid beer.
