Fairly clear amber and copper coloured body with a faint off-white head, about a single centimetre tall coating the top. Aroma of grass, hay, lemons and a dose of fresh herbal hops with a nice backbone of the malt, a little alcohol and pungent scents are noticeable along with some mellow citrus notes. Light to Medium-bodied; Decent fresh flavours at first that highlight the hop characteristics along with some dry grain, a touch of herbs and the subdued fruit and sweet flavours that are noticeable. Aftertaste shows the softer hops and decently balanced malt notes that lend some qualities to the bitterness and astringency of the final flavours, but a nice, slightly complex hop flavour that shows even how a single hop variety can add bunches of 'known' flavours in different quantities and potencies. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington, Virginia, yesterday on 14-November-2018 for US$8,99/six pack, sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-November-2018.

Pour is a not quite hazy, more of a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is mosaic fruity with some berry in there as well. Flavor is more mosaic tropical fruit with a minor bitterness. A bit thin but this had plenty of mosaic hop goodness.

1 week old can A: Poured a somewhat hazy dull orange gold with a short bubbly head. Fair retention and patchy lace. S: Lots of peach and berry hop notes with sweet wafer or cookie. T: Moderate bitterness with orange pulp and citrus pith. Very juicy tropical and stone fruits with light sweetness lingering with the pith. M: Light medium weight with a low level of fine carbonation and a wet sticky finish. O: The mosaic is showcased well though this may get a little too sweet over time. Still quite good though and worth buying.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish, glowing gold with a finger of foam that dissipates. Strawberry, gooseberry and bright citrus on the nose with some underlying dank, lychee and catpiss notes. Great nose. Clean, crisp and refreshing on the palate. With a nice pithy white grapefruit and and zesty bitterness on the end. Reminds me more of Maine Beer, Bissell and Alchemist than newer school NE styled brewers. Well executed.

Kinda shocked at how well-rounded an IPA Sweetwater has made here. Hazy and audience-friendly, sure, but the Mosaics provide a lovely array of hop notes--berry, earth, mango, grapefruit, and mild pine and dank--with a crunchy cracker malt base and a modest but noticeable bitterness on the finish. Fade peters out slightly--yeast lingers, as does some citrus, and not a whole lot else--but otherwise a very nice IPA. Pours hazy gold with a brief white head and spotty lacing. Nose doesn't quite match the explosive juiciness of other NEIPAs, but it makes up for it in actually being a complete beer. Textures is sparkly, not pillowy, but good. Nice job, Sweetwater.
