This Belgian table bier is a traditional entry into the Session category. It is meant to be consumed with food but also stands well on its own. When you need to drink the whole meal and want something with plenty of flavor but don’t want to get shit-twisted from the alcohol, this is a great choice. Look for a smooth malty body with hints of biscuit and rye. The hops are subdued and mostly present as a bittering agent. The yeast plays a prominent role increating bready and lightly fruity notes.

On tap at CBC. This is gross, clear gold, spitty/clumpy white head. Nose has stale bread, yeast, lemon, metal, some trash. Flavor is trashy, stale bread, crappy malts, soggy biscuit, lemon. Watery finish. No thanks.

Can: Poured a clear deep orangey color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and not much lacing. Aroma of residual sugar with some fruity ester and light malt notes is quite intriguing. Taste is a mix of sweet malt notes with some fruity ester and carbonation that is too intense and takes away some of the flavours which are not very bold to start with. Body is light with aggressive carbonation. Not very interesting with weak flavours and over the top carbonation.

Sampled from a 16oz can this beer poured a hazy golden-copper color with a medium foamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was fruity, fizzy and sweet. The flavor was tartish and sweet with vague fruits and yeast. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

THANKS for sharing RB people! Sampled draft @ Beer Temple during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Orange, creamy off-white head. Nose is grain, bread, white sugar, bland yeast, pretty dull. Taste is balnd boring grain, sugar, hay, white bread, low herbal. Boring yeast & white bread body. It is bland, its boring, its run-of-the mill Belgian I suppose (for that it would probably need to be even yeastier), not sure why you would set out to make a boring Belgian Ale but I suppose that this is a success since they accomplished what they set out to do.
