The essence of a traditional Sauna captured in a bottle! It is a very unusual beer, with a strong birch aroma and flavor that is very refreshing and satisfying. It’s the perfect companion to bring with you in the sauna and also for short but intense Nordic Summer. We brewed it using real birch leaves, the same ones that are used as whips in the sauna.

Bottle, shared with Andrew. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of apple strudel and resin. Flavour of apricot and orange. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Very fruity. I liked it.

Extremely large white head stayed on a very hazy, well carbonated golden orange body. Pith, pine & hop aroma. Medium bodied, prickly & sharp as a pin on the tongue, clean & dry on the back. Bitter tastes of lemon, citrus, herbs, pith & grass with a very long tangy finish.

Jeg går planke nr. 2 (Tanker krankupp) på SKAAL København aug-18: lett uklar korngul med fint skum som varer. Ettersom alle disse ølene fra Tanker er nytappet og nettopp koblet på har de en frisk og innbydende aroma og smak. Unntaket er denne, som har tydelige toner av bjørkeblader og -kvister, einer og barskog. Tynn kropp, men det får man jo gjerne etter mange og lange opphold i sauna.

Clear blond beer, big creamy solid yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of red lace candy, sugary impression, some cuberdons (Belgian candy), artificial strawberry candy flavourings, very weird... MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: ugh, yuck, what is this? Very sweet start, forest fruit candy flavourings or fruit infusion tea, slightly sourish, very unpleasant, malty notes, somewhat acidic. Aftertaste: candy, sweet, artificial, unpleasant, weird, fruity flavoured candy.
