The essence of a traditional Sauna captured in a bottle! It is a very unusual beer, with a strong birch aroma and flavor that is very refreshing and satisfying. It’s the perfect companion to bring with you in the sauna and also for short but intense Nordic Summer. We brewed it using real birch leaves, the same ones that are used as whips in the sauna.

330ml bottle. Clear golden with a thin white head quickly dissipating. Aroma of herbs (birch leaves I assume), twigs. Taste is herbal, twiggy, slightly bready, not much else to it, finish is bitter. Light bodied, soft carbonation. Nice idea, it's ok but not really my thing.

Oranjekleurig bier zonder schuim.

Draught Small white head over faintly veiled golden beer. Very aromatic nose, quite delicate yet strong; fines herbes, peach. Same in the mouth; aromatic body care products, bit of wood. FInish is a lot of white fruit. Very light body, even less than the ABV would suggest. Soap feel even in the aftertaste. Outstandingly original, but not one one would drink a couple in a row. 8/4/8/3/15

On tap at Uba ja Humal, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy birch notes, with dry biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with the birch showing prominently. Not much else to write about other than dry earthy notes.
