The essence of a traditional Sauna captured in a bottle! It is a very unusual beer, with a strong birch aroma and flavor that is very refreshing and satisfying. It’s the perfect companion to bring with you in the sauna and also for short but intense Nordic Summer. We brewed it using real birch leaves, the same ones that are used as whips in the sauna.

Tap at Zil verne. Moderate maltiness, caramelly, honeyish, med-med-high body, rather low carbonation. Med-low sweetness. Hops is almost absent in bitterness, entirely in character. Birch (resiny weirdness) is moderate. The balance works. Interesting. Good one for me, may not be for everyone though.

F: big, white, average retention. C: gold, light hazy. A: orange/herbal, tangerine, tomato juice, funky, birch leaves :), honey. T: malty, orange, bit of tomato, tangerine, herbal, probably birch leaves, reminds me dandelion jam from childhood, medium body, medium carbonation, very interesting, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja Toidumaailm in Tallin, Estonia.
