0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', canned in September 2019. Hazy, very dark brown with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty, fairly fruity-resiny aroma of caramel, chocolate, tropical fruits, blueberry and some pine. Quite sweet, malty, slightly roasty, quite fruity-resiny taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, blueberry, some tropical fruits and traces of pine, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, earthy, slightly resiny finish. Medium to full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Good BIPA!

Can shared from/at Maakun’s, thanks. Black with thin head. Very deep roasted chocolate malts, pine, coffee, juniper, blueberries, charcoal. God damn. This stuff is spot on. Really love this. Takes me back to the joy of my first black IPA’s! I miss the style! Well done Walhalla!! Sweet and sticky and ashy bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Can shared at home. Very dark brown with creamy beige head. Quite some roasted malts, earthy hops, ash, toffee, light fruity, soft pine. Very thick roast in here, there’s some nice hops too, but mostly nice malts. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Nice one.

Keg at the brewery taproom Amsterdam. A hazed nutty brown coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is diesel, rubber, pine,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, big liquorice, burnt pine needles, rubber, robust. Palate is semi sweet, resinous, moderate carbonation, sticky, some numbing.
