Appearance: clear pale amber with a large off-white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: pale malt, caramel, herbal and spicy hop. Taste: ptetty similar Light sweet, light to medium bitter. Inconsistent. Mouth feel: light to medium body. Average carbonation. Summary: mediocre.

Wenn man ein paar Wochen immer nur gemütliches Wirtshausbier oder edles Craftbier, so soll man die ganzen No-Name-Billigbiere vergessen, von den besonders tschechische und slowakische Diskonter Unmengen Sorten im Angebot haben. Gebraut wird das Argus in Tschechien. Das steht groß auf der Dose, allerdings nicht von welcher Brauerei. Angeblich kommt es aus der Pivovar Konrad, deren normales Bier 🍺 mich schon bislang nicht überzeugen konnte. Was kann man groß zu diesem freudlosen Primitiv-Elfgrädigen sagen? Es ist trinkbar, allerdings merkt man, das der gesamte Geschmack chemisch hergestellt und stabilisiert wurde und dass Hopfen nur auf der Dose gedruckt ist und nicht drinnen. Gerade in Tschechien, wo das Markenbier (ja, auch Industriebier) so gut und günstig ist, würde ich das nie kaufen.

50cl can from Lidl, Tallinn. Pours clear golden with a white head. Mild malty with grassy and herbal notes. Finishes more bitter than expected. Nothing too impressive, but fairly drinkable.

500 ml bottle. Clear dark golden, foamy head. Grassy hops, some hay and caramel, maripan, metal. Metallic bitterness, some malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, metallic bitter finish. Clean but boring Czech Pilsner, however a bit too much metallic notes.

Mal wieder ein Premiumbier vom Lidl - what could possibly go wrong? Optisch sattes Gold, in der Nase Mais, süßlich, etwas künstlich. Im Trunk genauso wertvoll - sehr künstlich, bitter, künstlich malzig, streckenweise metallisch, nein danke.

0,5 l bottle from Lidl Germany. Clear dark golden with a more than one finger white head. Grainy smell, little bit metallic. Taste starts grainy, little bit buttery. Metallic and flat taste. Had better real czech beers.
