29.05.2018 -- 0.33l bottle from hieber's, bb 02.08.2019. pours a cloudy pale amber with a small head. aroma of sweet apples, peaches, candy, malts. flavour of lemon, white peppercorns, mineral water, plastic, a hint of funk. chalky mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation, very dry, slightly watery, but balanced.

Pours orange from the bottle. A frothy white head settles to a whispy layer. Aroma is lightly yeasty, spicy, faint hints of vinegar and caramel. Taste is mildly sweet with a light spice. A tart touch of vinegar at the close. Stays dry throughout. Body is medium with a prickly carbonation. Overall not bad, veers more in the direction of a Belgian Ale than a Saison.

Als nächsten belgischen Stil wagt man sich an ein Saisonbier ran. Das hat einen netten Ton nach weihnachtlichen Gewürzen, wird aber gepaart mit einer sauren Note, die mir aber etwas zu stark ist. Das Bier wird dadurch zwar gut frisch-spritzig, aber die Gewürz- und blumigen Aromen, kommen so nicht zur Geltung, was ich schade finde, da sich im Ansatz wirklich gut komponiert sind. Das hätte man harmonischer inbekommen können. Aber es gibt dem Bier auch eine gewisse Einzigartigkeit. Ein nettes Bier, aber kein Muss.
