Only available in winter, this amber-colored special beer spoils beer lovers. Fine malt and a special brewing process give this beer an extraordinarily caramel note. A real seasonal specialty based on traditional, artisan brewing.

Bottle. Color: Clear amber, firm off-white head. Taste: Very malty, lightly roasted. Notes of caramel, lightly hints of nuts. Some hopbitterness, bittery palate. Smooth, bit creamy. Medium body, average carbonation with very sllightly irritating mouthfeel. Not exactly what I would call a winterbeer, but ok taste.

500 ml bottle. Pours clear amber coloured, decent head. Dark bread, roasted malt, nuts, citrus, corn, metal. Very balanced, medium bitterness with a light sweetness. Medium bodied, soft carbonated, thin texture. Smooth, easy going amber lager. Nice!

Amber with little white head. Aroma is flour, slight hops, malty dough, a bit burnt rubber. Taste is sweet and sour juicy malt with some alcohol. A bit too much alcohol while swallowing, not so smooth though juicy. Meh.

Smell of malt, some earth, a faint of coffee. Deep golden colour, high white head. Aroma of grain, metal, straw. Very flat carbon, slightly bitter. Very generic and boring, quite a disappointment.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, from Alko, 20161112} The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were caramel, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A pleasant balanced vienna.

Pours amber from the bottle. The head is frothy and lingers amidst mild lacing for much of the duration. Aroma is cereal and caramel undertoned by both sweet apple and a light moldy dankness that reminds me of a Kellerbier. Taste is malt-driven with a mild caramel sweetness up front, followed by an abrupt seague into a toffee/cardboard mix. Ends with with a deadening bitterness that feels flat and worn out despite the not subtle levels of carbonation. A light spice on the tongue does outlive the otherwise unsatisfying finish. The beer is called Winter Dream, but this is a long way away from the German bock beers that generally get the label of being winter brews. Actually quite suitable for all times of year - just a little disappointing.
