Bottle shared at Craft CG - big thanks to James. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, brown bread, sultana, raisin, fruit cake, light vanilla and nougat. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, sugary, spicy, chewy malt, cola, raisin, sultana, nougat, cola cubes and a touch of alcohol warmth. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. A touch sweet for me, but not bad overall.

Bottle shared at craft beer Co Covent Garden thanks to Paul for this one. A clear reddy ruby brown coloured pour with a a loose beige head. Aroma is semi sweet. Brown malts, toffee, bark,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet astringent green apple, bark brown cakey malts. Tangy.. Palate is woody tannin, solvent alcohol. Bad. Lingering solvent. .

Craft Tot Ct Rd. Bottleshare. Thanks to Paul . Clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth soft palate, modest fine carbonation. Sweet and tangy malts, little malt cream. Estery sweetness and ripe generic fruits. Smooth but a bit sweet, even after the radler.

Bottle split at CBC St Giles, thanks to Scopey, 30/05/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a light tan covering. Nose is sweet malts, varnish, toffee, light charr, hint of plastic. Taste comprises dark fruits, mellow roast, light black peppery spice, vinous notes, cocoa powder. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... nose let this down from the off ... a touch harsh and clunky for me.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Scopey. Pours clear, deep brown with a frothy, tan head. Vague dark fruits in the nose, nips of cocoa and roasted malts. Light sweet flavour, some lightly tangy ripe berries, toffee, earth, leather. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, some leathery ripe berries, more toffee, earth. Not bad overall.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown to black with brown chinks. Thin head but ok. Nose - big bubble gum and banana things primarily going on. Toffee and light nuts. Taste - more toffee and nuts but definitely followed through with the confectionery thing. Palate - close to medium bodied. Creamy and lightly tangy/sweet on the finish. Overall - slips down for an impy and drinks a bit like a Belgian Dubbel.
