Cask, third at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Coast To Coast. Shared with Finn. Clingy lacing from a low off-white head. Clear copper body. Farmyard nose with malty sweetness. Taste of forest, caramel and mild ripe lemony acidity. Mid-tart, sweet and dry end. Quite alright. (Third day of the festival, 24.01.2020).

9th July 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting in Chez Sophie. Cork and caged 75 cl bottle from the brewery and taken by me to our little tasting session. Hoped for more from this to be honest, found it rather timid and unadventurous (but at least they had a go at a 'different style' of beer). Misty golden/copper pour, big white, fluffy head. Some honey like aromas and sweetness, slight herbal twist, but lacked a true 'farmhouse/farmyard' feel or flavour.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, July 18, courtesy of oor Jeremy. Pours murky dark honey brown, white topping. Ryebread, malt aroma. Taste is smooth, some herbal honey at play, weedy herbal notes. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Swan, York 2 March 2018. Brilliant copper in colour, with a tight, white, head. Sweetish beer, with ripe berry fruits, a touch of caramel and ripe malts, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask @ Friends Of Ham, Leeds. Clear copper with a small head. Sticky-sweet textured with a strength, and a full sugary-sweetness in both aroma and taste.
