12 oz can bought at the Boise Co-Op. Aroma is roasty, bready, chocolate, licorice, vanilla. Pours inky black, brown around the edges, with a one finger beige head that reduces to a collar. Taste is bittersweet with flavors of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, licorice, bread. Mouthfeel is velvety, body full, carbonation tight. Nice beer.

12 oz can poured. Pours black with a creamy tan head and lace. Sweet chocolate malt aroma. Flavor is sweet and creamy. Medium body stout. Minimum roasted flavor hidden. Sweet vanilla sneaks in for the finish. Drinks super easy. A little sweet, but good flavor. Good stout here. Impressed with what I’ve had from these guys.

Can, picked up on a whim at Homebrewstuff. Dark brown pour, light khaki head. Small bits of lacing. I’m really liking the nose on this... sweet with cocoa and faint vanilla. Elegant. Coffee and coca in the taste, less sweet and emphasis on the coffee and roasted malts. Sort of light in the body, but I wouldn’t say watery. Finishes well; lingering cocoa bittersweet.

Lighter weight and not so bitter stout. Not getting any of the coffee, but a hint of chocolate malts. Dark brown, but not opaque. Small head, very un-stoutlike. Dark chocolate bitterness on the finish.

Draught at Stateside Craft, Vancouver
Black color with creamy beige head. The aroma is mild. The mouthfeel is lean and soft; it has some chocolate flavor, light roasted malts, light oxidisation; correct bitterness.
Good beer, more Imperial Mild than Stout.

Can from Ezo Beer. Served in a snifter. Plum, vanilla, roasty, chocolate, cream soda in the nose. A fairly light body with a somewhat silky mouthfeel. The taste is roasty dark malts wrapped up in vanilla with a definite cream soda vibe coming into play. A fairly unique stout, decent. That hefty dose of vanilla makes it come across fairly sweet. Pair with chocolate or vanilla ice cream.

Dark brown, bit muddy. Aroma is faint and the palate doesn’t make much of an impression either. It’s got a little creaminess - oaty maybe - but all told it is by the numbers and a bit forgettable.

Beertopia 2014 #7. Light black pour. Roasted. Sweet. Bit watery. Not bad but wouldn't get again.

From a can from Bier Thirty, Boise. Pours a clear very dark brown. Th wispy tan head. Light roast aroma slightly sour dark brown ale flavors. Hop balanced but not "stout" enough.

12oz can pours out a dark brown topped with a small tan head. Nose is a touch of milk chocolate sweetness a little roast and maybe the vanilla. Taste is as the nose with some chocolate and a little roast. Hops are present but very little.
