330 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.1%. Black colour, huge tan head. Aroma of roast malts, grain, coffee and dark chocolate. Fizzy and thin mouthfeel. Roasty and medium dry flavour with the same elements as the aroma. Not impressed. --- Beer merged from original tick of Chopper Stout on 18 Jan 2021 at 18:02 - Score: Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 6.5 | Flavor - 5.5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5. Tap at 6DN, Aberdeen. Pours black with a tan cap. Aroma: roasted malts, cocoa, liquorice, mocha. Taste: moderate sweet & light to moderate bitter, malty, light roast, chocolate, earth. Light to medium body with average carbonation
Kanskje litt søt a la melkesukker, men eller godt drikkendes, på en liten men foroverlent pub, og på den andre siden litt for puslete for en virkelig robust stout.

Bottle from Etre. Pours almost black with big, frothy, beige foam. A light metallic acidity. Roast, chocolate, chalk. A bit watery. Meh.

Pitch black, huge macroporous frothy tan head, slowly diminishing to a thin layer. Aroma roasted malt, licorice, cocoa, faint dark fruits. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light roasty, chocolate, earthy notes. Roasty sweetbitter aftertaste with stronger earthy notes. Light to medium body, oily to watery texture, subtle, well-balanced and easy to drink, quite good.

Keg at Empress of Broughton street, medium long lasting creamy bubbly head, opaque pitch blaxk color, aroma of dark bread, chocolate cake whiff of coffee and ash, flavor of mellow bitter dark chocolate, light roasty notes that become stronger, and a hint of metal, with some ash coming through, lightish sourness zingy carbonation. Nice and sessionable.
