330ml bottle that's been looking lonesome on the beer shelf for far too long. Drunk on Christmas Eve watching La Belle et La Bete. Pours very dark brown, with slowly forming cream-coloured head that recedes. Good madeira and toffee on the nose. Lovely rich oaky leathery flavours with settled fruity madeira notes. Nice winter warmer with great woody dark fruit complexities emerging as it warms.

Bottle, 330 ml, shared with JFK10000 and Max. Deep dark orange brown, medium tan head. Caramel, malty, ripe fruit, sourish, toffee. Some wooden vinous notes. Full bodied. Low carbonation.

Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Nose of dark toffee and Madeira. Palate is dry and has decent fine carbonation. A little creamy sweetness in the malts, bitterish dark toffee. Spicy alcohol mid. Trace of dry wood. Creamy rich Madeira. Ripe fruits underneath. Spicy dry and mildly warming finish. Nice one. Strong barrel character and packed with flavour. Wish I had another to age. Long spicy linger.

Bottle picked up from Otters Tears, Online shop, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire consumed at home Saturday 13th January 2018 Hazy brown with a mid sized off white head. Wow this is a lovely beer, it's a big old bruiser and takes no prisoners, the barrel ageing is damn good and softens this, fruity with a little boozy nose. Really has a good old tang, a little woody, some toffee, big booziness but absolutely does not overshadow the impressive beer. I love the fact it's not at all cloyingly sweet it's got character, it's a superb beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Bottle at nicks.. Copper.. Thin tan lacing... Soft sweet toffee fruit nose.. Soft sweet toffee fruit nose soft sweet malts.. Light dry fruits... Soft toffee malts

Bottle at home. Pours deep reddish brown, nose is caramel, berries, marzipan, hint of citrus, taste is rich, chewy, oak, dry toffee, sweet, fruity.
