500ml bottle, just over a year old now. Pours almost black with a huge tan head which barely subsides, very lively. The aroma is almost overwhelmingly oranges and peel, with chocolate and coffee in support. Taste is like liquid Terry's Chocolate Orange, very orangey, bittering peel, sweet chocolate, mild coffee notes, touch of spice as well, bittersweet with a coffee aftertaste and some alcohol. Medium-full bodied, very lively carbonation... fizzy spritzy mouthfeel. Great dessert beer, my only complaint is the massive over-carbonation.

Bottle from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye, Powys, consumed and shared with Baz at Ridge Farm Campsite nr Wareham, Dorset Friday 4th August 2017. Pours black with a slim beige head, though it is very dark now so everything looks black. A much fruitier example than the original GA, this has lots of orange, peel, juicy and starts to feel like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange, however it is also quite spicy, but chocolate as well. This is certainly a very different Impy Stout, but crucially it’s most enjoyable. Very good. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0
