Characterised by its subtle yet extraordinary taste. Produced with the addition of forest fruit juice, it is made of honey mash from nectarous honey and water, with the proportions 1 part honey to 0.5 part water. It is matured for several years to stabilise it and make it completely clear. Alcohol content 16%.

Bottle. Deep copper-ruby color with no head. Aroma is ethanol, honey, nutty, but the ethanol note is a bit irritating. Taste is deep honey. Viscous oily mouthfeel, flat. Extremely sweet, but works - not as great as the Dominikansi, Kurpiowski or Jadwiga..

Sweet bottle pours out a amber copper no head. Nose is nice big honey sweetness a little herbal notes earth tones and some light fruit. Taste is more of the nice honey sweetness thick and rich. Man I love Apis.

25cl bottle from Stanpol, Warsaw. Superbe couleur acajou, rappelant un vin, épais et huileux doré au verre. Arôme sur un profond bouquet caramel, notes douces, fleuri avec une petite touche de noisette. Palais est très complexe avec une petite note rappelant la liqueur de framboise. Petite touche de baies noires, fini râpeux, farineux. Collant aux lèvres, sirop.

Bottle sample thanks to JulienHuxley. Brown color with no head. Aroma of raisins, spice, booze, fairly port like, honey, caramel and overripe dark fruits. Flavor is heavy sweet. Medium to full bodied with very soft carbonation.

Bottle shared by Borresteijn, small sample. Clear amber color, quite vinous. Aroma is flowery, honey, slight spicy, bit cookie. Quite complex in aroma for a mead, which is great. Soft sweet and sirupy in taste, warming alcohol. Good viscosity. Wonderful mead.

75 bottle, brought from Poland, thanks Coen! Clear amber colour, no head. Aroma of brown sugar, raisins, very much like Madeira wine, some alcohol. Flavour is sweet, Madeira, raisins, rhum, brown sugar, sticky honey, some alcohol heat. Lots of raisins and brown sugar. Sweet and luscious. I usually don’t rate meads, but I paid €17,- for this, so I’ll be a hypocrite.

No head. Deep clear golden brown body. Deep fruity honey and raspberry aroma with vanilla and sherry notes. Sweet fruity floral taste with raspberry alcohol notes. Full-bodied. Soft, smooth mouthfeel with considerable alcohol heat. Sweet raspberry and vanilla aftertaste with wooden alcoholic fruity notes. Long, lingering vanilla sherry finish. Wonderful. Fantastically drinkable with lovely, lovely sippable qualities. Sharper than the jadwiga, and with less depth. (0.75l bottle from airport shop in Warsaw.)

Bottle shared by Fonefan at his place. Clear orange-red color, no head. Hard to describe but very nice aroma. Taste is very nicely balanced: honey, alcohol and lightly fruity. Nice.
