Handpull cask at the King's Head, Leicester. Golden amber, clear with a fine, loose white head. Sweet scent of golden syrup, doughy bread, berry and floral notes. Massive letdown in the taste, it is clean but quite astringent with an antiseptic hop flavour. Weird medicinal aftertaste on the tongue and in the back of the throat. Not a great beer.

10/2/2019. Cask at the Bear & Billet, Chester. Poured dark gold with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, hops and fruit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ Bear & Billet, Chester. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are grass, fruits, malt, hops and has a sweet light grassy finish.

500ml bottle @ The Abbey. Pours clear gold, light NZ citrus on the nose. Taste continues with a moderate bitterness and some lemon and grape shades. Fairly gentle in its NZ leanings, but prominent enough.

Taste of soft sweet creamy pale malt, hint of cereal, very soft hops, very light citrus
Palate - Medium light body, soft creamy. Finishis slightly dry, light citrus, slight cereal
Overall - Easy going but underhopped for a NZ pale ale
