Taste is heavy, salty and roasty with loads of licorice, dark chocolate and coffee. Finish is salty, roasty and slightly sweetish with loads of licorice, coffee and dark chocolate. Okay, but nothing special.

Tap at Denver Tap Room - not sure of the batch, but marked as 10.6% - black pour with a fluffy tan head - nose of anise, licorice, smoke, roast, light bitterness - full and bold, but ever so soft in the mouth - dense dark malts provide a balance of sweetness and roast - touches of smoke - light balancing acidity - earth, nori/seaweed, fennel seed - complex, balanced, delicious.
