Copper Cone Pale Ale is a special offering, aroma rich, pale ale that may vary the hops, malts and even sometime the yeast used. Typically this beer is an “over the top” Pale Ale with a deep copper color and loads of dry hopping going into each batch. The fresh hop aroma of this beer makes it a stand out. Stronger in alcohol and body than CAPT’N CROMPTON’S PALE ALE and appeals to beer aficionados.

Bottle, 22oz. Release #27, 6.6% ABV. Lots of citrusy aromas escapes the bottle as I pop the cap. The head is of moderate size, light beige in color and with some lacings. Unclear, dark golden to copper colored beer. Citrusy, mostly orangey aroma with some room left for the malts. A light caramel flavor is more or less overpowered by orangey hops and bitterness. Medium to full body with some carbonation. A bit sweet on the palate maybe, with a pleasant bitterness kicking in towards the end. A tad on the sweet side I think, but it’s a nice beer anyway. 130430

Release #27! Cloudy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, a little soft and airy with mild fine carbonation that provides a bite. Reasonable balance - mild toffee malt. A little orange marmalade but the dominant hop flavour is nettley pine. Finishes smooth with a little more citrus and subtle red berry fruits. Nice piney hop aftertaste. Good stuff!

On tap at the Yokohama Brewer’s Cup. It poured a slightly cloudy orange color with a tan head and had good lacing. A nice crisp pale ale with a piney bitterness but very smooth. Good stuff.

Deep amber color. Tons of pine a bit of crystal malt well balanced. So good and drinks much lighter than the abv. Very quaffable.
