Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small dark tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Some alcohol spice. Good dark fruits. Thankfully not too much chilli. Light and semi dry finish. Okay.

Keg at Heaton Hops, Chapel Heaton, nr Stockport, Greater Manchester in the company of Lynn and Barry, Saturday 18th February 2017 Pours almost black with a very slim filmy head. Really nice, good steady coffee throughout, surprisingly easy drinking for such a big beer, it’s strange that the chilli is a slow burner, only really kicking in after a while but it provides a good warmth. Lovely. A7 A4 T8 T7 P4 Ov15 3.8
