Cask at the State, Glasgow. It pours clear rich chestnut brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is quite sweet, sticky, toffee, chewy, caram and resin. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty, caramel, crystal malt, resin, wood, cake, leather, peppery spice and varnish with a drying, sort of woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Very much malt - forward. A bit too much crystal for my tastes though.

Cask @ The Salopian Bar. Pours clear amber, small off-white head. Aroma is leafy toffee malts. Taste continues with integrated marmalade, some citrus hints, malt focussed. Decent.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - dank cellar, some orange. Taste - bitter orange. Earthy savoury. Palate - close to medium bodied with a dry crunchy texture that continues through the finish. Overall - a bit gnarly but not bad.
