[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] An opaque peaty brown coloured pour with a thin beige head; aroma of tar and burnt malt; dry and silky in the mouth with well roasted malts and a little red fruit; then a bitter grainy finish with a touch of Luxor ice. An excellent traditional stout.

Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Extremely dark, it's a steady lowish strength stout with a regular nose, although bushy-floral with its roasted malt taste.

Cask, pint at The Gordon Highlander, Inverurie. It pours black with a thick, lasting creamy tan head. The aroma is rich roasted maltage, plenty of coffee, cacao nibs, dark chocolate covered coffee beans, toasty, light umami, cookie dough and choc chip muffins. The taste is initially smooth deep roasted vibes, toasty, decent hit of coffee, mildness hint of sourness/acidity, some decent mid palate bitterness, dale chocolate, toothy, umami and a hint of liquorice with a dry, roasty finale. Lighter end of medium body and soft, pillowy carbonation. This beers suits being on cask. Nice condition and highly drinkable overall.
