(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 26 Nov 2016) Dark brown colour with ruby notes. Brief beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, caramel and prunes. Malty, fruity taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, prunes, dried fruit and a mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a good fruit character. Quite nice.

Cask at Craft CG. It pours pretty much black with a medium beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, fruity, damson, plum, Dandelion & burdock and toasted malt. The taste is smooth, rather fruity, plum, damson, grape skin, earth, herbal, spice, roasted malt and cola cubes with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice fruity stout. Quaffable.

On cask at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - deep brown to black with red chinks. Nose - coffee and chocolate. General mocha notes. Taste - rye and plums come through. This is generally vinous actually. Tangy sour chocolate. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - great stuff.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Dark brown body with a thin off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of plum, Weetos and toast. Flavour of more plum, chocolate, grenadine and cranberry. Thin body with a flat, watery texture. A tasty, well balanced beer, but it’s very thin.
