3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic. The kriek lambic is then blended again with more young lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit, and is bottled immediately afterwards. These bottles are then stored in our cellars for at least five months so that the kriek lambic can develop into a beautiful, traditional, and refined Oude Kriek. With a pleasant tartness and organic notes of almond and cinnamon as it warms in the glass, 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek, will age perfectly but may lose some of the vibrant red colours and forest fruit aromas. This unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley!

Bottle, very little head, cloudy dark red colour and a bit oxidized, aroma of horse shit, minerals, a bit of vanila and just a hint of red fruits and spiciness, flavour of red fruits, lactic notes and a hint of spiciness, medium strong under ripe and lactic sourness. Nice and enjoyable.

Bottle, no head, murky lightish oxidized red colour, aomaof varnish, wood and minerals, flavor of a touch stewed berries and tomato juice, strong lemony ladtic sourness, bone dry and a hint of bitterness. Very interesting, a bit difficult to drink.

Bottle from Tavour: pours little hazy red with small fizzy head. Aroma is cherry, mineral, light funk. Taste is quite sour and acidic. Cherry is pleasant and not too sweet, yet still juicy. Wish it was less acidic. In honesty, I was a little disappointed by this beer.

0.375 l bottle shared with Hophead_Jandro at Barbeerian, Zagreb. Slightly hazy deep ruby red, small head. Aroma is tart red berries, black cherry, blackberry. Slightly funky, cheesy, not very complex. Flavour is tart cherry juice. No complexity, quite thin. Nice fruity profile, drinkable, finishes dry.

Bottle 0.375l, bottled 18.4.2019. Cloudy, dark red colored. AROMA- balsamico, funky, cherry, wooden barrel. FLAVOR- very clean, dry, quite sour and tart, cherry, a bit funky. Medium bodied.
