3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic. The kriek lambic is then blended again with more young lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit, and is bottled immediately afterwards. These bottles are then stored in our cellars for at least five months so that the kriek lambic can develop into a beautiful, traditional, and refined Oude Kriek. With a pleasant tartness and organic notes of almond and cinnamon as it warms in the glass, 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek, will age perfectly but may lose some of the vibrant red colours and forest fruit aromas. This unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley!

Poured from 750mL bottle. Dark brown/purple-ish red with small pink-ish white head. Nice soft balance, round cherry, age compliments it well (good time to open). Enjoyable.

Aroma is funky, cherries, sweat and tart notes. Flavor is cherries, tart, funky notes, some sweet fruitiness. Quite easy, not too sour or complex. I like.

From the bottle at a tasting at Beer Out, Forlì, Italy. Pours darkish red, with no foam. Aroma is cherry, relatively sweet, a little vanilla. Body is a little thin, with no carbonation. Taste is medium sour, with a bit of sweetness behind. Final is average.

Pours dark pinkred, very small, pinkwhite head. Scent is loads of chery pits. Taste is fairly acetic, bit rubbery as well. Obviously cherry, but not as intense as expected. mild on wood and brett and such. Bit overpowered by les positive aroma's I'm afraid. Very low, nearly no carbo. Certainly not one of their better batches, but no drainpour either.

Impressive aroma of tart sour cherries, sugary sweet and intensely sour. Good dose of wet hay, and a considerable amount of funk. Lively carbonation, with an unbelievable sour finish. Sticks to the ack of your throat. Great lambic!

28-01-2015 drank 25-04-2016. Bottle at home. Aroma is sweetish and tart cherries, sour red fruits, oak, funk, light malty. Flavour is nicely sour and tart with a little sweetness. Body is medium, finish is rather dry. Very nice, lots of tart and sour cherries with a hint of sweetness for balance, great drinkability, yes I love it.
