(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy black with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Burned malt aroma and a whiff of acidity. Medium body with good, hard roasted malt accents and a vaguely fusty edge. Lightly vinous touches. A distinct malt bitterness. The least - oh joy - infected of the 4 Ricklinger beers I tried today - but not clean. Courtesy of Elisabeth. 150207

Bottle, 5.0%. Weak, homebrew-like stout aroma. Cardboard? A little aroma hops. Almost black colour with a red shine. Semi-stable light brown head. Nicely roasted flavour with a surprisingly good mouthfeel. Very roasted and malt-bitter aftertaste. Very flavourful for its ABV. The aftertaste bitterness gets too rough IMO.

(swing top bottle, thankfully received from Jevers Zeuge) Almost black coloured hue with a mid-sized foamy beige head. Dusty, roast-malty aroma with coffee, light notes of cacao and a distinctive fruitiness of blueberries on a hoppy background. Very bitter flavour, medium to light body, very smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Roast-malty taste with coffee and liquorice; dry and bitter, quite lasting finish with roasted notes and coffee and a lingering bitterness. Truly nice.

6th DRG. Milky, creamy, some malt, vanilla. A lot of roasted malt, extreme and harsh bitterness. Too harsh palate for me. Dominant hoppy.

Draught @HBF2005
Dark brown, almost opaque, small brownish head. Grassy, butterscotch - lots of diacetyl in the aroma. Watery, slightly roasted, grassy with more butterscotch in the flavor. This keg was totally useless.

A black beer with a light brown small head. The aroma is sweet, smoked and liquorice - fantastic. The flavor is too light in the beginning for a stout, then it turns smoked and carbonated. The smoke lingers on the tongue together with a acidic taste.
