Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry, decent carbonation. Smooth dark malts, touch of creamy sweetness. Modest dark chocolate. Chilli warmth. Light semi dry finish. Just another chilli stout. Bored of them.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of plums, fruit, faint smoke. Taste is fruity, light smoke. Slowly building heat is well judged on the finish.

Roasted malt and coffee in the aroma. Flavour has the roasted bitterness of toasted malts and a light heat from the chilli.

Bottle. Tall Boys, Leeds. Dark, cola brown. Lightly hazy. Thin, dense, tan head. Nose has chilli chocolate. Raisin. Brown butter malts. Soft smoke. Taste is sweet and spicy. Light heat in the mouth. Fairly smooth. A bit thin, maybe. Finishes short, spicy dry. Missing some richness.
