Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Murky, lumpy amber. Film of sticky, lasting, off white head. Lovely black cherry to this. Very vinous. Cherry stone earthiness. Some dessert apple. Smells fantastic. Taste has all bases covered. Smooth, and lightly tart mouthfeel. Throughout, there’s a lurking hop bitterness. Finishes earthy, vinous, cherry stone bitter. Very drinkable. Lovely beer.

Bottle picked up at Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham and consumed at home the same day Sunday 26th July 2015 Pours murky puddle brown, would be no looker in a beer beauty contest, but looks aren’t everything and tastewise this is jolly good. Tart in the mouth but a lovely zappy, furry funkiness, really zaps the gums, not too dissimilar to the Belgian sour browns that it tries to ape, fair play to them, it’s good. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.4
