Bright clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and decent fine carbonation. Soft pale malts, mildly sweet. Fairly spicy mid. Touches of dried fruit and citric peel. Smooth semi dry spicy finish. What is this beer supposed to be? Fine.

Draught at Portland Craft, Vancouver
Hazy golden color with a copper hue. Milder in the aroma, but the flavor shows too much cereal soup character; light residual sweetness; some smell of wet cardboard; strong bitterness, with some orangey resins. Overall, tastes a bit like an old beer.
Nothing exciting.

Bottle, picked up at the local Winco. Color is a light golden, sort of yellow and brown... Maybe brass? :) Persistent whit cap and thick sheet lacing. The nose is unique; a sweet aroma of honey, orange zest, and vanilla... something that I can’t pinpoint. Malty taste, sweet caramel malts and light citrus. Mild. I don’t know that this can be fit into any one particular style - it’s not much of an ASA, but I’m not qualified to place it. It’s like a blonde with less hops...

On tap. Pours a dark amber with light head. Aromas of wet brewery malts. Flavors same with a bit of muddled fruit. An immature malt beverage.

On tap at Portland Craft, pours a hazy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is pretty disjointed, with caramel malts and resinous hops - pretty harsh. Flavour is similarly harsh, with caramel malt and resinous hops. Not very harmonious but it's drinkable. Okay.

Bottle from Winco. High malt presence in both aroma and taste, orange zest comes in l late. ABV not readily apparent. More sweet than bitter, some brown sugar and mild toffee. Light for a strong ale, but good.

Bomber bought at Winco in CDA, ID. How can this be a malt liquor if it’s an ale? Aroma is chalky candy, fusel, orange candy circus peanuts, spicy hops. Pours clear copper-gold with a thick off-white head with good retention, laces nicely. Taste is lightly sweet, spicy hops, drying bitterness in the finish; with concentration, I can detect the orange peel in the finish as well. Body is thin, texture watery, carbonation fairly soft. If this is indeed categorized correctly as a malt liquor, it’s great for style, but average overall. As an American Strong Ale, which is what it should be under I think, it’s definitely poor for style.
