Bottle. Black with a tan head. Way too sweet both in the aroma and taste. 5 cl was enough for me. I did notice licorice, some vanilla, soy sauce and some wood.

37,5 cl bottle@ lusikka, bottle #1740, bottled 20.02.2011
Aroma is roasted and slightly sweet with cocoa. Flavour is oversweet with sugar and cocoa. Smooth palate. Some stinging alcohol starts to occur at the end of the glass. Like AB:04, but without the chili.

375ml bottle
Bottled on 20.02.2011 - Bottle #1740/3600 - Pours pitch black with virtually no head at all. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate and coffee. Taste is quite sweet and roasty with hints of chocolate, cocoa and syrup. Finish is sweet and slightly roasty with hints of alcohol. A bit too sweet for my taste, and slightly unbalanced.

30/06/2011 Birra+ (375ml bottle). Degustazione da Birra+. Nera, intensa, con riflessi color caffè, schiuma quasi assente e poco persistente. Aroma spiazzante, dolciastro, quasi stucchevole, vanigliato e zuccheroso.

Bottle 375ml @ Geokkjer
Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, cacao, molasses and soya sauce. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long sweet roasted chocolate and a warm alcohol finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 375ml corked, courtesy of Meilby. A minimal-sized tan head disappears quickly. Black body, oily pour. Soy sauce, licorice and roasted malts on the nose. A touch of alcohol too. Flavorwise there’s soy sauce, licorice, roasted malts, coffee and a faint touch of dark chocolate. Not much hoppy bitterness going on. Full-bodied and super soft. Lasting finish. Not much warmth going on, but it’s quite sweet. A nice beer indeed. 120211

Courtesy of madmitch76, cheers Ken! Corked and caged, the cork was a bear to get off, green bottle pours murky dark mahogany with brown edges and no head. The aroma is all molasses, some chocolate, some mild peatiness and then earthy chocolate and spices. The taste is nice and sweet and smooth with molasses, sludgy chocolate malts and sugary caramel goodness. There’s really no carbonation to speak of but this is a sipping beauty. There’s plenty of lingering sweetness and mild chocolate and dark roasted malts carrying deep into the after taste.
