Keg at Anspach & Hobday, Bermo. Board states 7.5%. Pours a dark amber brown with a slim beige cap. Malt, caramel, biscuit. Moderate sweet & light to moderate bitter. Medium body with light carbonation. Not bad but I'd probably not bother a 2nd time.

Bottle from 101 bottles, Kent, OH. A lovely mahogany scottish ale that did exactly what it was supposed to. Understand why it is so high in the style. Like a malty hug in a glass.

Bottle. A- Malty, mild dark fruits. A- Brown color, dark color, beige head. T- Malty, mild tobacco, subtle dark fruit. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Not bad. Heard this tasted more like a Scotch ale than a Scottish. Seems to be caught in between. Fairly malty with mild undertones of various dark fruits and some roasted tobacco. Solid enough.

Very Bruce. Loads of toffee, toasted bread, wildflower honey, and dark fruit, backed up by notes of cocoa, apple, and a little char. Finishes with a mild floral bitterness and slight hints of apple. Tasty.

12 ounce bottle from Trenton Road Takeout in Fallsington, PA. Bottled on 08/12/19. Mahogany brown color with a reddish hue. Small creamy tan head. Wonderful roasty malt nose hints at toffee and dark dried fruits. Flavor is sweet caramel malt. Notes of dark brown sugar, plums and dried fruits, perhaps sultanas or Zante currants. Rich and malty as advertised, but not as complex and layered as you would expect from the style. Very good nonetheless.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Chocolate and caramel in the firm aroma. Full bodied, malty sweet flavor with caramel, milk chocolate, licorice and a hint of cinnamon and red berries. Warming, though not alcoholic. Delicious, well balanced beer.

On tap at Maria's Packaged Goods and Community bar Chicago. Fruity dark ale. I mean I don't know if this anything to do with Scotland but it's pretty damn good. Strawberry jam aroma solid malt in mouth then a hoppy finish. Really good
