I am an imperial stout matured in a Highland whisky cask to bring together the wonderful worlds of beer and whisky.
Jon Beach of the famous Fiddlers whisky bar has carefully selected the whisky cask to complement this beer. Slainte!

330ml bottle from Beerhive. Pours jet black, thin, persistent tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, whisky, wood, tar, burnt raisins. Taste is woody, oaky, booze notes, whisky, soy sauce. Oily texture, boozy, but not too heavy. Nice.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance -deep opaque black with a lovely crema head. Nose - very rich chocolate. Then booze and a dry malt biscuit thing. . Taste - chocolate but booze prominent. Wood notes too. Dry biscuit again. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a big rich boozy finish. Overall - very tasty but booze a little prominent. Rough at the edges. Might improve in the bottle.

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. It pours black with a decent beige head. The nose is rich, bitter-sweet, toffee, honeycomb, vanilla, rocky road, fudge, nougat, marshmallow, sweet whisky and dark chocolate. The taste is slick, rich roast, high boost, mild acidity, toasty, charred wood, tar, peppery action, whisky, burnt toast and salted liquorice with a dry, charry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice aroma, but the taste is a bit rough around the edges. Too dry perhaps...

Bottle courtesy of Craig (cheers Craig) Nick. shared at Nick and Anna’s, Quidish, South Harris, Monday 15th June 2015 Pours grimping mire black with a large tan head. This carries very little residual sweetness, it is very roasty and is a little bitter. Some woodiness and old furniture. The barrel ageing is noticeable and yet relatively subtle and unobtrusive. It isn’t bombastic, overly sweet or OTT at all, it’s really well done. Like it. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

bottle at home...2015... dark dark black ... massive tan head ... dark soft chocolate roast ...mellow roast malts nose ... dark roast ... mellow body ... rich malt ... big alcohol ... little boozy ... not overpowering but pretty up there. .. rich sweet malts .. big chocolate ... nice but i think it like it more blended back 30%ish with base beer.. stella says soft rubbery whisky rather than big peated ...still quite like it, and think it may age and mellow well
bottle at home 2025 ...dark black ...thin tan lacing ..soft dry earthy chocolate roast malts nose . dry woody bitter ..definitely showing some age but a delight after so many sweet ones
