Bottle in the flat in Copenhagen - picked up at a local supermarkets. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head, plenty of simple, lightly toasted biscuity malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with rounded bready malt character, faint dough, tangerine, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly crisp to finish with some cereal, bread, dough, mild bitter straw. Sweet, simple lager.

Bottle, long lasting creamy, frothy head, hazy dark gold colour, fruity aroma with some of candy and vanila, flavour fo bread and fruit with some graininess and a strong and a little coarse herbal bitterness, medium to full body. Nice and pleasant pilsener.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Pale golden with almost no head. Aroma of sauerkraut and cooked vegetables. Flavor of cooked vegetables, sourish notes, a bit of graininess and a bit of bitterness with metallic hints. Light-bodied. Something’s wrong here.

Bottle from Føtex, Amager - Amber colour with a medium white head, sweet grainy malt, only slight hop fruitiness, grass, straw. Some good balance between bitter and sweetness, and better than I was expecting. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Pours clear light amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of apricot and grain with occasional touches of hops. Sweetish, fruity and malty taste with sparse notes of hops and a rough finish. Tastes of more ABV than stated on the label. It does not taste like a Pilsener at all, perhaps more like an Imperial Pils or Strong Lager with a fruity touch to it. Drinkable and perhaps enjoyable to some extent but not my favourite.

50cl bottle thanks to onkelgobber Pours golden with a thin head and steady bubbles. The nose is pale malt and some citrussy-herbs. The taste is more of the same. There’s a well balanced palate - it has a start that builds into a creamy middle and there’s a dry zingy finish. Overall, a well made lager.

75 cl. bottle, shared. With smørrebrød/open sandwiches. Light amber-golden with a small, dense white head. Fruity aroma with grass and floral hops, caramel malts. A hint of something herbal. Taste is light sweet. Medium body, creamy texture and an average carbonation, Finishes bitter with grass hops and a spiced note. Nice pilsener, good food - beer pairing.

75 cl bottle @ Atala. Rated on 19.12.2009
Aroma is rather hoppy with grass, some fruity notes, herbs and grainy malt. Flavour is slightly sweet with lots of grassy hops, herbal notes some grainy malt and hints of berries. Also some stuffy, metallic savor I find hard to describe. Not your typical pils, something I wouldn’t have expected from Jacobsen.
