Made with German hops and malt, this Teutonic construction is perfectly engineered with bright, crisp flavours such as tangerine, gooseberry and citrus. These combine with herbal notes and a smooth bitter finish.

Keg at the Fox E8 - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Light tangy citrus fruit in the nose, some tangerine, pale bread. Medium sweet flavor, a little earthy, with some honeydew, tangerine, oranges, white bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous in the finish, nice juicy citrus, pale bread, subtle oily pine. Good one.

Keg at the Fox E8. It pours cloudy orange with a decent whitish head. The nose is sweet, juicy, shed load of orange citrus, tangerine, kumquat, mango and marmalade. The taste is crisp, zesty orange, kumquat, pithy, lemon sherbet, waxy citrus, marmalade, sticky, pepper, grassy aspect, oily aspect and Cointreau boozy action with a dry, zesty finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Like eating a boozy kumquat. For real.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Murky bronze body with a thick off-white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of wood, brown bread and basil. Flavour of blood orange, herbs and nuts with a hint of spice and nail varnish. Medium body with a an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Unusual flavour for an IPA but a bit too boozy.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light sweetish malts. Decent orange and orange peel hops. Little floralness. Touches of mango and lemon. Smooth and semi dry finish. Decent, could just do with a bit more hop punch.
