Talk about random! A 3.5% Session IPA from Black Isle in Scotland of which only 864 bottles were made and 2 found there way to Liquor Shop Asahiya? This was bottle 134. Anyways, for 560¥ I couldn’t resist and the honey Amber color, off-white head of foam that coats the glass and big fruity hop bouquet (featuring citrus and mango) tell me I didn’t make such a bad call. Light bodied as expected with a low level of carbonation. The hoppiness isn’t what it once was but is ok giving a sedate sweet fruit hit first then a mild malt bit and bitter finish. Light and easy to drink but I wish I could’ve had this on cask. As it warmed it did get a bit buttery which was a turn off, still not too shabby though.
