Keg at Mother Kelly’s - London. Pours deep brown with a thick, lasting beige crew head. Nice dry chocolate malts in the nose, touches of Belgian yeast, burnt cookies, roast, burnt toffee. Medium sweet flavor with nicely rounded, dynamic cocoa character, some scorched earth bitterness, brownies, mellow alcohol. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, a little oily, with further cocoa, earthy hops, suggestions of candi sugar and toasted toffee, some dried fruits. Quite nice overall.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small cream colour head. Palate is surprisingly soft for a keg beer, mild fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, some cream and mild tang. Ripe fruits underneath. Soft finish. Standard stuff.
